November 4th 2020 and England entered a second national lockdown but here at Inspire Academy of Dance, we were not going to let that stop us dancing! We decided immediately that we would start online dance classes so that no one would miss out on their dancing.
Behind the scenes, Miss Jo and Helen worked to set up Zoom classes for all our classes in Dorking, Copthorne and Horsham that had been able to resume in September. It took a couple of days but we soon emailed out codes to everyone as our teachers were busy planning classes to teach online.
After some initial nerves we have been so happy with the lovely comments and feedback from parents and dancers that we have received. Our teachers – Miss Jo,Miss Kath, Miss Kristina,Miss Julia, Miss Emma and Miss Amira have really loved seeing everyone really getting stuck in and working really hard on their dancing even though we aren’t in the dance studio. We are really hopeful that we are going to be able to get back our Dance Studio in Copthorne as well to the Christian Centre in Dorking and Brighton Road Baptist Church in Horsham before the Christmas break. We will be in touch to confirm to everyone what will be happening as soon as we know what the government have decided what can resume at the end of the Lockdown on December 3rd. We will also being keeping our COVID Page updated with information as and when we have it.
It is possible to trial the online dance classes with Inspire Academy of Dance – just pop us an email in office@inspireacademyofdance.co.uk with your child’s name and date of birth along with the classes that you would like try. If you would rather wait to trial the classes when they have resume in person then please also get in touch now as we are taking bookings for the Spring term already!
Again everyone at Inspire Academy of Dance would like to thank all our dancers and their familes for their continued support over this tricky time!
