We are really excited to announce that our dance show in February at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley will take place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of February 2022.  

Planning has started in the office and we want to ensure you all have plenty of notice and information regarding this to make an informed decision as to whether your child takes part. We invite all of our students to take part in the show and spend around a term working on our dances for this production within classes.

To ensure our dance teachers can start to choreograph and plan, we need to know who will, in each class be taking part. This is our first step in organising the event and is very important.

It is a really exciting time for the dance school and the children always have a fabulous time. It is a wonderful experience for them. If, however you decide you do not want your child to take part in the show, this is not a problem. They will still work on the choreography alongside other exercises/routines in the class and will not be segregated from the others. There may be a time closer to the show where spacing becomes an issue but we will try our very best to make sure that no one feels left out. The emphasis on our shows is to have FUN and enjoy themselves!!!!

COST

With such a big production, there is unfortunately always a cost involved. The show fee cost will be £25.00. This includes the show costume for one costume which you get to keep. Subsequent costumes will be charged at £20 for those who do more than one class. This will be invoiced during the October half term so that we can start ordering costumes. We hope to have most costumes in and ready by the time we finish in December. We, therefore, have time to arrange any sizing issues or adjustments. We always try to keep costs to a minimum.

We are estimating ticket prices to be around £16.00 per seat.

This will be confirmed in our next contact with you after the October half term. We try hard to keep costs to a minimum. The ticket prices are based on theatres costs and unknown 2022 price increase which we are hoping to know soon.

Tickets will be available to purchase from The Hawth Theatre at a later date and you will be informed when these go on sale. It will be a first come first serve basis so please ensure you buy early to avoid disappointment.

TIMES and DATES

The Theatre has been booked for Saturday 12th February and Sunday 13th February 2022.

Our technical and costume rehearsals always run on the day of the production. It can be quite a long day. The children will need to bring sufficient drink and food to last them the full day. For our younger children, we try to stagger arrival to ensure the least time in the theatre. I will add however that the children always have a fab time and we have had many little ones that have taken part in the past.

We first need to get an idea of who will be taking part in the dance show, however, we are anticipating a Team A (Saturday) and a Team B (Sunday) due to the size of the school. Therefore, each dance group gets to perform once on the big stage. This information will be told to you before tickets are released so you are sure you are purchasing for the correct day.

For now, please ensure you keep both days free and we will inform you ASAP regarding which day your child will be performing.

HELP

In order for our shows to run, we rely on our lovely parents to offer to help. Ideally, we need as many of you as possible chaperone trained with the council, and if you cannot do this then we really need DBS parents too. We will cover the cost of the training. Every parent needs to complete this form, whether they ARE or ARE NOT taking part to ensure we have had communication from every parent. The DEADLINE for this is Monday 18th October. If we do not hear from you, we will presume your child WILL NOT be taking part in the dance show.
